Branding

Set up the visual identity of your videos with intros, outros, overlays, and subtitle styles.

What is Branding?

Branding in MediaCopilot lets you define the visual identity of your videos: the intro clip (opening), the outro clip (closing), the overlay image (superimposed on the video), and the subtitle style. You can create different brandings for different formats or target platforms.

Example: You can have a "MyBrand_YouTube" branding with intro and outro in 16:9, and another "MyBrand_Reels" branding with overlay and subtitles optimized for 9:16.

Branding components

Each branding can include the following elements, all optional:

ComponentDescriptionFile type
IntroVideo that plays at the beginning of the videoVideo (Clips tab)
OutroVideo that plays at the end of the videoVideo (Clips tab)
OverlayImage superimposed on the video as a frame or watermarkPNG image (Overlays tab)
Subtitle styleTypography, colors, and visual effects for subtitlesInternal configuration

Access the Branding section

Go to Customization

In the left sidebar, at the bottom of the screen, click "My account". This will open the Customization section.

My accountCustomizationBranding

Select the Branding tab

The Customization section has four tabs: Custom vocabulary, Branding, Media library, and Subtitle styles. Click "Branding" to see the list of existing brandings.

Explore the screen

You will see a table with the columns Name, Details (assigned subtitle style), and Actions (edit and delete). In the top-right corner you'll find the "+ Add new branding" button.

Upload files to the Media Library

Before creating a branding, you need to upload the files that will compose it. The Media Library stores all videos and images available for your brandings.

My accountCustomizationMedia library

The library has two tabs:

TabContentPurpose
ClipsIntro and outro videosPlayed at the beginning or end of your productions
OverlaysSuperimposed images (transparent PNG)Overlaid on the video as a frame or watermark
Recommendation: Create one overlay image per aspect ratio you use (e.g., one for 16:9, one for 9:16, one for 1:1).

Click "+ Upload files"

The purple button is in the top-right corner. Clicking it replaces the list with the upload area.

Select your files

A dotted area will appear with the text "Drag files here or click to select from your device". You can drag files directly or click to open the file browser.

Click "Submit"

Confirm the upload. The files will appear in the corresponding list (Clips or Overlays depending on the file type).

Recommended naming convention: Name your files including the brand and aspect ratio for easy identification. For example: INTRO-MYBRAND-16-9, OUTRO-MYBRAND-9-16, OverlayMYBRAND-1-1.

Create a subtitle style

The branding requires an assigned subtitle style. If you don't have one yet, create it before continuing.

Click "+ Add subtitle style"

This will open the style configuration form.

Configure the style fields

Complete the form fields:

Save the style

Click "Submit" to save the subtitle style.

Create the Branding

With your files uploaded and subtitle style ready, you can now create the branding.

My accountCustomizationBranding+ Add new branding

Click "+ Add new branding"

The purple button is in the top-right corner of the Branding screen.

Enter the branding name

Choose a descriptive name that identifies the brand and use case (e.g., "MyBrand_YouTube", "MyBrand_Reels").

Select the aspect ratios

Check the video proportions this branding applies to. You can select multiple at once:

RatioTypical use
9:16Vertical · Stories · Reels
3:4Semi-vertical
4:5Instagram vertical
1:1Square
4:3Classic horizontal
16:9YouTube · TV

Assign Intro, Overlay, and Outro for each ratio

When you check an aspect ratio, 3 dropdowns automatically appear. Select the corresponding file from your Media Library in each one:

DropdownWhat it assignsSource
No intro / IntroOpening videoClips tab
No overlay / OverlaySuperimposed imageOverlays tab
No outro / OutroClosing videoClips tab

Select the subtitle style

At the bottom of the form there is a "Subtitle styles" dropdown. Select the style you created in the previous step.

Click "Submit"

The branding will be saved and appear in the main list, ready to be used in your productions.

If the Intro / Overlay / Outro dropdowns appear empty, it means you haven't uploaded files to the Media Library yet, or you don't have files of the correct type. Go back to the "Upload files" section and upload files before continuing.
All three fields are optional. You don't need to assign a file in each dropdown. You can leave "No intro", "No overlay", or "No outro" if you don't need that element for that aspect ratio.

Manage existing brandings

From the main Branding list you can perform the following actions on each branding:

ActionIconDescription
EditModify the name, aspect ratios, assigned files, or subtitle style
DeleteRemove the branding. Does not affect files in the Media Library
Create newCreate another branding for a different brand or format
You can have multiple brandings. There is no limit. Create one per brand, per channel, or per content type. Each video can use the branding that best matches its format.
